We decided last season that we would like to build four new forward tee boxes to benefit the ladies and senior tee's. Holes 5, 6, 15 and 18 were the holes we felt needed the tee's moved up the most do to a long carry from existing tee boxes to the fairway. The project was given the green light over the winter and we began the project in the early spring. Mammoth Turf Construction was hired to shape the tee boxes for us. They did a great job, the boxes look almost natural built into the natural contour of the course. We had a long wait on getting sod because of weather but we were able to get the sod in late June and got all the new boxes sodded. The tee tops are zoysia grass and the banks around the tee are fescue. With all the recent rains it has actually helped us with the new sod. We hope to have these open for play in the next couple weeks! Pictures below show the process of construction...
